JAGUAR XJ-S 5.3 PRE HE

1980 W) Finished in Racing green with biscuit leather trim.  Totally standard car with the only factory extra being the metallic paint as the Connolly leather trim,air conditioning,central locking,G.K.N alloys,rear fogs, Philips radio cassette and electric aerial were all standard equipment. Ive driven this car for the last few weeks covering over 500 miles,its been a pure joy and with so many admiring glances you feel really privileged to be driving this design masterpiece.  All discs,pads,shock absorbers and springs are new,the engine and gearbox perform as they should with gear changes being almost undetectable and even the air conditioning after 31 years is still pumping out ice cold air. We also have the original service book with 9 main dealer stamps 14 old mots plus copies of every log book from previous keepers. When new this car cost £19187 when a Mini cost £2765 and was ranked by Autocar and Motor magazine better than all its rivals which include the Ferrari 400,Aston Martin V8,Mercedes 450 SLC and the Posche 928. This model of the XJ-S are becoming extremely rare in this condition/drivability having only being in production between 1975 – 1980. This example has not one blemish or infact any of the usual bodywork issues (wax-oiled from new) and still drives like a 2 year old one.
